Currently St. Benilde is home to an advanced science and engineering curriculum for students in Kindergarten through 7th Grade. Becuase of PLTW, science courses at St. Benilde are not only challenging, but fun and exciting as well.
As described by PLTW, "The program empowers students to adopt a design-thinking mindset through compelling activities, projects, and problems that build upon each other and relate to the world around them. And as students engage in hands-on activities in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, they become creative, collaborative problem solvers ready to take on any challenge." This innovative and future focussed curriculum is Inspiring, Engaging, & Empowering!
"My favorite project that we have done is making an actual puzzle with real wood pieces." -6th Grade Student
"The best project my class did was when we dissected a sheep's brain. Some of the brains had diseases in them and some were normal. We had to label the parts of the brain and take the diseases out of the brain. It was really cool!" -7th Grade Student
